Hey, I’m Ole Alfheim! Since 2010, I have been designing innovative user experiences for video games, mixed reality and web apps by leveraging my curiosity for technology and empathy for the users’ needs.

Selected Projects

  • Instech

    As a senior consultant at Rainfall, my biggest achievement was designing a suite of web apps for the marine insurance industry, called Instech Etuity. I was responsible for the interfaces for war calls, legal document archiving and retrieval and survey reporting.

  • DNB

    Using my knowledge of JavaScript, I created the user interface for DNB’s Aksjesparekonto onboarding page. I worked closely with the internal UX designer to iterate on the design solutions and ran test to make sure it adhered to the WCAG requirements.

  • Argus

    I was hired to add functionality to Argus’ user interface for their sub-sea ROVs. Working closely with the developer and adhering to the established design system, I designed the interface for managing hardware alarms.

  • Speed Run

    Speed Run is the world's first fully immersive obstacle course competition series for television. I was responsible for designing the rules, obstacles and challenges. I also provided UX design for the VR app that lets anyone create, play and share their own Speed Run obstacle courses.

  • Oscura

    I'm the creator of Oscura, a game series for mobile and PC. Using contextual touch controls, the player navigates through dark landscapes illuminated only by the protagonist’s light, solving devious puzzles and overcoming monstrous challenges along the way.

  • Figaro Pho

    As the game designer, my role involved translating the TV show into an engaging action puzzle experience. Players utilize touch controls to interact directly with the game world, navigating power-ups, obstacles, and contraptions. Winner of Kidscreen iKids Award 2014 'Best Game App (Tablet) for Kids.
